CNC MACHINIST

 

We are a family run fabrication/machine shop, specializing in pipe, tube bending and the manufacturing of industrial components.

Our team consists of designers, project managers, and production staff who have the experience to produce various complex fabricated/bent products.

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who will be contributing to the successful growth of our company, perform all duties, and maintain industry best practices. Close attention to detail is required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate conventional turning and milling equipment, HAAS CNC mills (w/ 4th axis) and lathes

  • Proficient use of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Mastercam

  • Study drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

  • Plan and coordinate weekly work

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.

  • Use Company protocol to maintain accurate records for all work in progress

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area and keep all equipment, to like new appearance, according to maintenance plans and established safety procedures.

  • Develop understanding of our business and pursue opportunities to contribute to company growth

  • Thriving in a work environment that often requires multi-tasking and flexibility while keeping a strong attention to detail

  • Establish open communication within the team by encouraging and providing support to co-workers to build employee morale

 

Required skills and characteristics:

  • Education: Red Seal Certification in Machining

  • Minimum 5 years’ of experience performing CNC machining

  • Experience in the metal fabrication & manufacturing industry

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Able to use all measuring tool needed in trade.

  • Quality control, measuring within .0001"

  • Ability to work safely, accurately and consistently in a fast paced environment

  • Organized and punctual

Working conditions are based on a 40-hour work week, between 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Start time is flexible.
